| Trim the cone of the Ezi-Seal flashing to suit the flue pipe size. |
Slide the roof flashing down the flue pipe using water as a lubricant. If the flue pipe has a folded seam then once the flashing is fully installed apply a bead of silicone where this seam meets the EPDM cone to make sure that it is waterproof. |
Press the base of the Dektite flashing to the roof profile by hand. |
 |
 |
|
| Fasten to the roof using self-tapping fasteners or pop rivets. |
For enlarged holes and penetrations on steep pitched roofs up to 45 degrees or on deeply corrugated roofs use the Dektite Ezi-Seal roof flashing on the diamond. |
If the flue pipe has a seam in it then apply silicone where the seam meets the cone of the Ezi-Seal flashing. |
Fastening methods

The Dektite Ezi-Seal flashing seals by compression, so ensure that the fastenings are evenly distributed (approximately every 40mm) around the base. It is also essential that fastenings are placed in any valleys created when the flashing forms around a ridge on the roof.

On some roof profiles an extra fastening is needed if there is an indent at the top of a ridge, as shown if the diagram to the right.
- Use 10x16 Hex head self-drilling fasteners.
- After screw fixing the base, flatten the aluminium between the fixings to compress the foam.
- Always install a fixing into the corners of the profile to fully seal against the sheet.
- Make sure the foam is compressed by at least 40% all the way around to ensure an effective seal.
