Dektite EPDM flashing are not suited to use with single skin flue pipe as the flue gets too hot. In this situation use a
Dektite high temperature flashing.

| Cut the cone of the Dektite flashing at the appropriate flue pipe diameter marking. |
Slide the roof flashing down the flue pipe. You can use water as a lubricant. If the flue pipe has a folded seam then once the flashing is fully installed apply a bead of silicone where this seam meets the EPDM cone to make sure that it is waterproof. |
Ensure that the roofing material that the flashing will bond to is clean, dry and dust free. Apply sealant on the underside of the flexible base of the Dektite flashing. |
| Press the base of the Dektite original flashing into the roof profile and contours by hand, smoothing out any awkward creases. Do not fully extend the base so as to allow for vibration. |
Fasten the flashing to the roof with long-life, self drilling fasteners. Apply sealant around the base if desired. |
For seamed flue pipe apply silicone where the seam meets the cone of the flashing. |
