These fitting instructions are for the
FlatSeal flat roof flashing.
The FlatSeal EPDM flashing is not suited to use with single skin flue pipe as the flue gets too hot. In this situation use a
Dektite high temperature flashing.

| Cut a neat hole (with at least 50mm clearance for twin wall flue) through the felt layer and insert the flue pipe. Use a nylon brush to remove all surface particles and spread with cold liquid bitumen. |
Cut the cone of the FlatSeal flashing at the appropriate trim line to suit the flue pipe. |
Wet the flue pipe and run the Flatseal flashing down the pipe to the roof. Press the EPDM base into the liquid bitumen. |
 |
 |
|
| Ahere another layer of roof felt on top of the EPDM flange using cold liquid bitumen or self-adhesive bitumen membrane. |
Press the felt down firmly against the EPDM flange and seal any gaps between the EPDM cone and the top layer of roof felt. |
Apply silicone where the seam of the flue pipe meets the cone of the FlatSeal flashing. |
