Fitting instructions for the FlatSeal flat roof flue flashing

Stove Help & Advice Home

These fitting instructions are for the FlatSeal flat roof flashing.

The FlatSeal EPDM flashing is not suited to use with single skin flue pipe as the flue gets too hot. In this situation use a Dektite high temperature flashing.

Cut a neat hole (with at least 50mm clearance for twin wall flue) through the felt layer and insert the flue pipe. Use a nylon brush to remove all surface particles and spread with cold liquid bitumen. Cut the cone of the FlatSeal flashing at the appropriate trim line to suit the flue pipe. Wet the flue pipe and run the Flatseal flashing down the pipe to the roof. Press the EPDM base into the liquid bitumen.
