No smoke when the door is opened

The position of the baffle when the stove door is open |
Fondis stoves have a really clever baffle system. When the door to the stove is closed the flue gases are relatively restricted making the stove more efficient becuase all the heat is not allowed to immediately escape up the chimney.
However this poses a problem when the door to the stove is opened. If the flue gases are restricted from passing up the chimney then they will take the easiest route which would be out of the door and into your room. No-one likes a room full of smoke nor to be treated by a face full of smoke when opening the door of a stove.
So Fondis have a clever baffle mechanism that opens when the door of the stove is opened. This increases the flue exit size and so ensures that the flue gases and smoke go up the chimney and not into the room.
Another clever innovation by
Fondis stoves.
