| With the central two round indentations pointing upwards bend each side of the fixing plate down along the dashed line. Once bent the fixing plates should fit well to the outside of the flue - offer them up to check. | The two indented holes in the fixing plates are for bolts - the head of the bolt goes into the indentation - that way when the plate is fixed to the flue the head of the bolt does not dent the flue pipe. |

| Each fixing plate is fixed to the flue using the short screws provided. You need to drill a pilot hole for the screw with a small metal drill bit. Make sure that you have remembered to put the two bolts through the holes in the fixing plate before you screw the plate to the flue. | The pivot plates are now joined to the fixing plates using the nuts provided - do not overtighten as you need a bit of movement in the pivot plate for fixing. The flat part of the pivot plate can now be fixed to a suitable wooden support (such as a rafter) using the long screws. The bolts are then tightened. |
