Fondis Passion insert stove

The Fondis Passion is a huge insert stove that really means business. This is an insert stove for a huge room or for someone who really wants to be able to heat the whole house with their stove. The Passion has a very large window to the firebox and the visible frame of the stove is uncluttered by distracting details, leaving you free to enjoy the great view of the fire. To load firewood the door slides upwards and disappears into the wall. A side opening door option is also available. The Corten steel means that when you open the door of the stove smoke does not escape into the room.

The Fondis Passion has a very high nominal output of 17kW - this means that this stove can really heat a whole house. The Passion stove has hot air ducts that can distribute hot air from the stove to up to 4 extra rooms in the house. An optional fan can be used to forcefully blow the hot air to the other rooms.

As with all the Fondis stoves the huge glass window is kept clean because it is made of self-cleaning visoceram glass. Unlike airwashed glass (which relies on a cushion of air to keep tar deposits off the window) visiocéram™ glass cleans itself using the heat from the fire. So even if you slow burn and the window develops tar deposits, the next time you have a decent fire in the Fondis Passion stove the tar will burn off (unlike airwashed glass).

The Passion is a cleanburning stove with an impressive 78% efficiency rating when burning at 17kW and 81% when burning at 4kW. Like the other stoves in the Fondis range, the Passion is made of Corten steel which withstands the rigours of continued exposure to temperatures exceeding 500 degrees better than traditional steel.
