Scancore single block chimney

The Scancore Single Block system is exceptionally easy to install as there is only the one block, and there is no limit to the amount of blocks that you can lay in a day - meaning that if you wanted to you could build the entire chimney in one day. The entire block is made from insualting pumice which means that you can butt combustible materials (roof and floor timbers, floorboards, wall paper, etc) up to the outside of the chimney. This also means that the flue gases are kept hot which means that less tar is deposited in the chimney = less risk of chimney fire.
The Scancore single block pumice chimney system must be tied in to a wall as it rises (using standard wall ties), and can run for up to 1750mm unsupported to allow you to form your stack. The stack (and any external parts of the chimney) should have a waterproof render applied. A corbel caps off the top of the stack (a corbels for a rendered stack and a corbel for a brick clad stack are available) and then a chimney pot finishes it off. You either use a DFE chimney pot (which does not require a rain cowl) or a roll top chimney pot with stainless steel cowl of your choice on top.
An access door near the bottom of the chimney gives sweeping access and your stove is installed by running your single skin flue pipe into the chimney at 45 degrees (use an approprite core drill), and cutting the end so that the pipe is flush with the inside of the chimney.
