Woodfire RS series insert stoves

The Woodfire RS stoves are a range of good value, next generation boiler stoves. There are four RS stoves with outputs to water from 11kW to 20.7 kW - so something to suit most needs.
Woodfire RS stoves are designed to burn wood and wood only. The outputs given are tested burning wood, as is the efficiency which is 74% - high for a boiler stove (in fact that would not be a bad rating for a dry stove). The Woodfire RS boiler stoves can be installed on pressurised or open vented systems. Each stove comes with overheat protection as standard: there is a coil in the boiler of each stove. Attached to one end of the coil is an overheat valve, this valve has a thermostat placed in the top of the boiler. If the water in the boiler overheats then the valve opens letting mains cold water flood into the coil. The cold water cools the water in the boiler and then flows away to waste.

The insulating firebrick at the base of the stove reflects heat back up into the fire helping to burn the wood effectively. The boiler forms a cunning upside down V-shaped baffle running over the top of the fire, helping to extract more heat to the water.
To the top right of the door is a control for a flue damper which means that these stoves can easily be installed to chimneys with stronger draw. Attach the air manifold which comes with the stove and you can supply the primary air via a 100mm external air duct, which reduces draughts in the room. The secondary air is preheated and provides an effective airwash. It is not possible to completely shut off the secondary air to a Woodfire RS stove which improves efficiency and reduces blacking up of the window.
