Woodfire RS series insert stoves

The Woodfire RS stoves are a range of top quality, next generation boiler stoves. There are five RS stoves, with outputs to water from 11kW to 27.7 kW.

Woodfire RS stoves are designed to burn wood, unlike many of the more traditional boiler stoves which were designed at a time when it was common to run boiler stoves on coal. This means that the RS range run at very high efficiency levels, all the models operate at between 75% and 78% efficiency, which is exceptional for a boiler stove. The heat outputs given are also all tested burning logs. The Woodfire RS boiler stoves can be installed on pressurised or open vented systems. Each stove comes with an overheat protection as standard. This is a system where there is a coil in the boiler attached to mains cold water via a thermostatic overheat valve. Should an overheat situation ever occur the boiler is automatically kept cool.


The insulating keramott firebrick at the base of the stove reflects heat back up into the fire, ensuring that the wood burns with maximum efficiency. Beneath the grate is a generous size ashpan. The boiler forms a cunning upside down V-shaped baffle running over the top of the firebox. This serves to extract extra heat from the fire that was not picked up by the main boiler section.

You have full control over the burning rate as you can alter both the primary and secondary air supplies to the firebox. To the top right of the door there is also a control for a flue damper, which means that these stoves can easily be installed onto chimneys with an over-strong draw and allows you to moderate the chimney draught on windy days. Attach the air manifold which comes with the stove and you can supply the primary air via a 100mm external air duct, which reduces draughts in the room. The secondary air is preheated and provides an effective airwash.
