Skantherm Shaker Stove

The Shaker is a classic piece of design. Harking back to the days of simplicity, quality, and functionality, yet with such an up to date look. The Shaker stove is designed by Antonio Citterio, a prolific and successful designer and architect who lives and works in Milan. He says: "I design objects for myself....You can’t force things. If something doesn’t work, don’t do it", and that comes across when you look at the Shaker stove. What really makes the Skantherm Shaker stove for me are the long tapered legs that continue the converging lines of the stove, the multiple crisp, straight edges, the fact that, because the loading door is to the side of the stove, the window to the fire is left completely unobstructed.

At 7kW the Skantherm Shaker can throw out a decent amount of heat making it suited to the medium sized room, or as secondary heating in a larger space. An elegant stove like the Shaker can fit in well with so many settings.

Pictured is the Shaker with the short bench. If you choose the optional long bench (smaller picture) then this extends the base of the Shaker stove forming a cosy seating area where you and friends can sit in the warmth.
