A very neat multifuel stove, the Dru 44 is well suited to the small to medium sized living room. The Dru 44 has a heat output of 4.9kW, although I think that you would be able to get more heat than this - probably up to around 6kW if burning coal.
Made very solidly from cast iron the Dru 44 stove can burn wood or coal, and comes complete with a removable ashpan, especially useful when burning coal: more ash is produced than when woodburning, and you also need to keep the grate and ashpan relatively clear of ash when burning coal to prevent overheating of the grate.
The Dru 44 has a removable stainless steel handle which can stop the door from being opened accidentally. The Dru 44 can take up to 300mm long logs.
Only the multifuel stoves are ecodesign ready currently.
Stoves like the Dru 44 MF multifuel stove will typically burn 90% cleaner than an open fire. They are also a pleasure to use, way more efficient and do not suck huge amounts of cold air through your home.
