Dru 78 CB woodburning stove

The Dru 78 is large woodburning stove which, like the other Dru stoves, has an all cast iron construction and is very well made indeed. The finish on the castings is very good, right down to the legs. Like the other Dru stoves the 78 MF has a removable stainless steel handle which operates the front and side loading door. You can fit an impressive 600mm log into the Dru 78 firebox, which means less work chopping your wood, and less time loading too.
Rated at 11kW nominal output with a 13kW maximum output, the Dru 78 CB is well suited to the larger room. Air is drawn through inlets in the back of the stove and passed through channels up the back and into the firebox through some inlet jets to provide preheated tertiary combustion air, and up under the top of the stove to provide preheated airwash at the top of the window in the door. This helps to keep the large glass window of the Dru 78 clear of deposits, and ensures efficient burning of the wood.
Dru have recently introduced the facility for a direct air supply, making this stove suitable for well sealed, highly insulated houses.
