Popular Wood Burning Contemporary Stoves
The smallest of the Invicta Sedan models but with all the attributes that cast iron brings, the S has a 5kW heat output for smaller rooms or where it is a secondary heat source. Being cast iron it gives a more even heat distribution and allows the stored energy to continue to heat the space after the fire has gone out.
A unique oval stove, the Invicta Mandor throws out up to 15kW of heat. Like the other Invicta stoves the Mandor is an efficient cast iron woodburning stove.
The 9-1 Aduro is the standard model with solid steel sides. It's robust appearance commands a presence in any space.
The 9 Air is the model to choose if you have a well sealed house and need to fit a direct air supply.
Saltfire Peanut 8 is the larger 8kW output version.
The Nordpejs Duo 5 has a sealed compartment below the firebox. This makes the stove quite clean lined and also the least expensive option of this model.
The De Manincor FKA900 is a high quality woodburning range cooker stove with a window to the firebox and a high output backboiler. This range cooker stove has a nominal heat output to water of 16kW: enough to provide hot water and to run around 6-7 radiators - plenty for most houses.
The Aduro 15 stove is available in a few different versions. This has a solid base.
The Opus Tempo 80i DS
The Aduro 9-5 is the tallest model in the range, 1200mm in height.
Giving out up to 19kW of heat the Bruno T10 woodburning stove is suited to the larger space. The 10 convection tubes of the Bruno T10 wood stove circulate hot air around the room of up to 380 cubic metres.
This is one of the early contemporary Dan Skan stoves - not available with soapstone cover but it can certainly hold itself in the contemporary world of highly efficient wood burners.
If the stove is being sited freestanding in the room, not in a fireplace, the Westfire 23 Side Glass stove would be a good choice as you will be able to view the flames from all three sides.
A large 15kW cast iron stove with a front and side loading door, the sedan L is traditionally, yet simply styled. A woodburning stove with a very large window the Sedan L is also available in an ivory enamel finish as well as the standard anthracite.
If you only have a narrow space then this stove is ideal. The three glass sides mean you can see the flames from more than one angle.
The Vision is a stove made by Spanish manufacturer Carbel and the tall window gives a generous and full view of the flames.
The Firebelly Firepod stove is a new design from Firebelly yet has the characteristic Firebelly touch. At 10kW the Firepod stove is suited to heating a medium sized room.
The Stella 3 DFH700 is a stunning double sided woodburning inset stove. Installed in a dividing wall between rooms or in a central column the DFH700 not only warms each side up but also adds to the sense of space.
The Purefire Eco Design Slimline 5kw woodburning stove is a new design for 2018 which meets the new Eco Design requirements.
