Modern wood stoves can burn efficiently over a much wider range of heat outputs - so, unlike an old stove, you can run a modern stove more slowly and not produce a lot of smoke. They also give out far lower particulate emissions than old models - look out for EcoDesign Ready models are these tend to be the cleanest. The Opus Tempo 80i DS
The Stella 3 DFH700 is a stunning double sided woodburning inset stove. Installed in a dividing wall between rooms or in a central column the DFH700 not only warms each side up but also adds to the sense of space.
The portrait Ulys 800 allows the flames to rise more vertically allowing a beautiful flame pattern.With a maximum heat output of 13.5kW this stove is suited to most rooms.
The single sided Fondis Stella 3 H700, has all the quality and ease of use so characteristic of Fondis stoves.
The V100 is a great looking contemporary insert stove. It can warm just the room it is in or be set up to spread its heat all around the house. At just over a metre wide the Fondis V100 is a large landscape stove giving a great view of the flames.
The Hoxter HAKA 67/51Wh has a slide up and down door, allowing you to use the stove as an open fire if you so wish. The insulated body version has a nominal heat output of 11kW with 74% of the heat going to water.
The largest model in the Stella 3 range, The H1000 offers a large viewing glass giving a superb view of the fire from anywhere in the room.
The ECKA 50/35/45W is a corner inset stove with a nominal heat output of 7.5kW, 4.5kW going to water and 3kW to the room. A useful stove to know about if your room layout calls for a stove that goes around a corner.
The smallest of the Ulys range with a maximum heat output of 10.6kW This stove has all of the qualities of the larger models, designed for the smaller fireplace.
The Carbel A-85 Plus is an inset stove where you can decide to have the three-windowed, or a two-windowed version (left or right handed, its up to you).

The Ulys 900 double sided stove is a remarkable double fronted inset stove. Installed in a dividing wall between rooms or in a central column the DFH700 not only warms each side up but can also provide heat to rooms above via the hot air ducting system.
A beautiful double sided stove which can be sited in the centre of a large room to create a division, so creating two linked spaces with a view of the fire from either side.
This large wide-screen stove with a maximum heat output of 14kW this stove has all the quality and ease of use so characteristic of Fondis stoves.
The single sided Ulys 900 is more suited for the average size room with a maximum heat output of 15.9kW this stove can not only heat the room but also rooms above via the hot air ducting system.
The corner version of the Ulys 900, this stove offer a unique lifting door mechanism enabling this stove to also be used as an open fire. The picturesque flames can be viewed from two sides giving a wider view of the flames.
This Mendip Christon 750 inset model will give 8.7kw output to the room.
The V80LDF is a stunning double sided stove which will bring warmth and cosiness to two rooms at once. By using 'open and close' vents the amount of warmth that goes to each room can be carefully controlled.
The Mendip Christon 550 inset stove will give you 4.7kw output to the room.
The medium sized H600 inset stove has an output of up to 11kW so needs a smaller chamber but still gives that 'window of fire' look.
The Hoxter HAKA 89/45WTh is the largest double sided Hoxter boiler stove. 56% of the heat goes to water so this double sided model has a relatively high heat to room compared to the other Hoxter stoves.
The Carbel Atlas inset is a woodburning stove with a large top oven, easily big enough for large pizzas or for roasting. The Atlas inset is designed to be built into the wall or a new enclosure/chamber in your kitchen.
The ECKA 67/45/51Wh is the larger Hoxter corner inset boiler stove, with a heat output of 13kW, 7.9 going to water 5.1kW to the room.
