Contemporary stoves come in many shapes, sizes and types. The Scandinavian style of stove is popular where the stove is tall and cylindrical, usually with a large curved glass window. The challenge in making a stove like this is to make sure that the door stays firmly closed and straight as the stove heats up because of course some parts of the door are hotter than others and metal expands when it heats up.
Then there are inset contemporary stoves which are built into the wall and often have doors that slide up and down to open, various modern takes on the traditional UK box stove and then more individual stoves with unique contemporary designs.

The Ekol Clarity 5 stove is small enough to fit into a fireplace opening. It will produce 5 kW of heat, perfect for a small room.
The largest of the Ulys range, this stove has a larger door than the Ulys 1100, with a large output of up to 17kW this would be suitable for the larger room.
A beautiful double sided stove which can be sited in the centre of a large room to create a division, so creating two linked spaces with a view of the fire from either side.
The Stella 3 DFH700 is a stunning double sided woodburning inset stove. Installed in a dividing wall between rooms or in a central column the DFH700 not only warms each side up but also adds to the sense of space.
The Ekol Clarity 5 high stove is raised up by 200 mm with a plinth .
Broseley Desire 5 Widescreen Multifuel Stove adds a fantastic widescreen option to the Desire range.
An extra wide 5kW design from Ekol Stoves. Based on the Clarity 12 stove but with a reduced depth, you can install this stove free standing against a wall or in shallower fireplaces.

The Aga Ludlow upholds the enduring Aga tradition, delivering solid craftsmanship and efficient performance in multifuel stoves.
These are room heating, dry insert stoves. The Woodfire RH insert stove is available in one size only while the lifting door models are available in several different formats.
The distinctive black framing to the three windows of the Carbel RA-85 Plus looks great. There are a variety of options like a stand, log store, wall hung, or pedestal, and you can also choose to have an extra window to the sides, giving you a three-window, two-window, or single window stove.
The Clarity 12 stove can be run between 4 and 12 Kw's and is available as a low or high model.

The Westfire 35 is a stylish and elegant multifuel stove that gives out 4.3kW of heat to the room. There is also the option of the Westfire 35 SE Defra exempt model.
The Klover BiFire Mid is a combined log and wood pellet boiler stove able to power a whole house. That little bit more compact than its bigger cousin, the BiFire Mid can still give out over 25kW of heat.
The Fondis V60L is a medium output woodburning inset stove. Giving out up to 7.9kW of the heat the V60L is suited to the medium sized room.
