A wood stove may well help you to reduce your heating bills, depending on where you get your wood from. You may also find that because the room with your wood burning stove becomes super-cosy, that you can let the rest of the house be a little cooler, which can also help to reduce your heating bills. Wood is sustainable and a low carbon fuel, so you also get to reduce your CO2 emissions with a log burner.

The Hoxter HAKA 67/51Wh has a sliding up and down door, allowing you to use the stove as an open fire if you so wish. It has a nominal heat output of 11kW with 74% of the heat going to water. A high performance 17kW version is also available.

The largest of the Ulys range, this stove has a larger door than the Ulys 1100, with a large output of up to 17kW this would be suitable for the larger room.

The Fondis V60L is a medium output woodburning inset stove. Giving out up to 7.9kW of the heat the V60L is suited to the medium sized room.

The smallest of the Invicta Sedan models but with all the attributes that cast iron brings, the S has a 5kW heat output for smaller rooms or where it is a secondary heat source. Being cast iron it gives a more even heat distribution and allows the stored energy to continue to heat the space after the fire has gone out.
